Telecommuting Research Continues
To follow-up on our post yesterday about remote working, I thought I would bring a little more proof to the table. The benefits of telecommuting are more than you realize.
Working remotely or working from home are not new, however there has been many conversations around whether it works. Yes, there can be distractions at home as well as work. I think for most however the ability to minimize the distractions is easier for a person working on their terms.
Nick Bloom, Associate Professor, Stanford Department of Economics, discusses his recent research into the emerging trend of telecommuting. This video highlights the benefits of telecommuting for people and business.
It is great to see the benefits being researched, I think this helps business find strategies to attract and keep good people by offering remote working as a job perk.
Make sure you have a little time because this video is about 6 minutes and covers all the findings in Bloom’s research.
