WordPress SEO Plugin Word Wednesday Webinar Series

WordPress SEO PluginThis week’s question was about WordPress SEO Plugin. Now this is not the only way to manage SEO in your WordPress site. You can also handle SEO tasks in WordPress, by customizing a theme to optimize the SEO output, or using frameworks like Genesis or Thesis (affiliate links) which have nice SEO options built-in.

WordPress SEO Plugins – WordPress SEO by Yoast and All-In-One SEO

We decided to look at two SEO plugins for WordPress that work very well and are easy to use. We picked these two because it is the two that we have used and been happy with the results.

The first plugin we look at is WordPress SEO by Yoast, a full featured SEO plugin for your WordPress site. The second SEO plugin we look at is All-in-One SEO by Michael Torbert. Both powerful seo plugins for WordPress.

WordPress SEO Plugin by Yoast

WordPress SEO is the most complete WordPress SEO plugin that exists today for WordPress.org users. It incorporates everything from a snippet preview that helps you optimize your page titles, meta descriptions and keywords to XML sitemaps, and loads of optimization options in between.

All-In-One SEO

Automatic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) out of the box for your WordPress blog. This plugin is streamlined for some best practices for WordPress SEO. While it gives you many options the defaults reflect the settings I recommend using.

WordPress SEO plugin does not do all the work for you. What it does do is make your SEO efforts in your WordPress powered website a little easier to manage. You still need to do the work involved to develop good content. You can find some great information on SEO on Yoast’s website.

Also, please look at some of the many SEO plugins that are available for WordPress and be sure to find one that you like and will use. The key to good SEO is to find the tools that are going to work for you.
